Tony Stark: Does anybody remember when I put a missile through a portal, in New York City? We were standing right under it. We’re the Avengers, we can bust weapons dealers the whole doo-da-day, but how do we cope with something like that?
Steve Rogers: Together.
Tony Stark: We’ll lose.
Steve Rogers: We do that together too.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.
Say to yourself in the early morning: I shall meet today inquisitive, ungrateful, violent, treacherous, envious, uncharitable men. All these things have come upon them through ignorance of real good and ill.
Oh, but you know, you do not achieve anything without trouble, ever.
I come from a long line of fighters. My maternal grandfather was the toughest guy I ever knew. World War Two veteran. Killed twenty men then spent the rest of the war in an Allied prison camp. My father… battled blood pressure and obesity all his life. Different kind of fight.
Life’s a tough proposition, and the first hundred years are the hardest.
Megamind: Here’s my day so far: went to jail, lost the girl of my dreams and got my butt kicked pretty good. Still, things could be a lot worse. Oh, that’s right… I’m falling to my death. Guess they can’t.
So say we all!
Adama: It won’t be an easy journey. It’ll be long, and arduous. But I promise you one thing: on the memory of those lying here before you, we shall find it, and Earth shall become our new home. So say we all!
Calhoun: All right. Now listen up, ’cause I’m only gonna say this once. “Fear” is a four letter word, ladies. If you wanna go pee-pee in your big-boy slacks, keep it to yourself! It’s make-your-mamas-proud time!
Ralph: I love my mama!
A light here required a shadow there.
The art of life is to know how to enjoy a little and to endure much.
If you don’t know it’s impossible it’s easier to do. And because nobody’s done it before, they haven’t made up rules to stop anyone doing that again, yet.
Make good art.
Life is sometimes hard. Things go wrong, in life and in love and in business and in friendship and in health and in all the other ways that life can go wrong. And when things get tough, this is what you should do.
Make good art.
You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.
A polite enemy is just as difficult to discredit, as a rude friend is to protect.
Until you stop breathing, there’s more right with you than wrong with you.
You will never truly know yourself, or the strength of your relationships, until both have been tested by adversity. Such knowledge is a true gift, for all that it is painfully won, and it has been worth more than any qualification I ever earned.
Never ascribe to an opponent motives meaner than your own.
We’ll always have Paris.
Rick Blaine: We’ll always have Paris. We didn’t have Paris, we lost it until you came to Casablanca. We got it back last night.
Ilsa Lund: When I said I would never leave you…
Rick Blaine: And you never will. But I got a job to do too. Where I’m going you can’t follow. What I’ve got to do, you can’t be any part of. Ilsa, I’m no good at being noble but it doesn’t take much to see that the problems of three little people don’t amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you’ll understand that. Now, now…Here’s looking at you, kid.
Buffy: Professor Walsh? That simple little recon you sent me on wasn’t a raccoon. Turns out it was me, trapped in the sewers with a faulty weapon and two of your pet demons. If you think that’s enough to kill me, you really don’t know what a Slayer is. Trust me when I say you’re gonna find out.
The air was clear and scented, the breeze flitted lightly through the tall grass around his cave, the birds were chirruping at each other, the butterflies were flitting about prettily, and the whole of nature seemed to be conspiring to be as pleasant as it possibly could.
It wasn’t all the pastoral delights that were making Arthur feel so cheery, though. He had just had a wonderful idea about how to cope with the terrible lonely isolation, the nightmares, the failure of all his attempts at horticulture, and the sheer futurelessness and futility of his life here on prehistoric Earth, which was that he would go mad.
Do I not effectually destroy my enemies, in making them my friends?
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
Well, I don’t know what will happen now. We’ve got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn’t matter with me now. Because I’ve been to the mountaintop. And I don’t mind. Like any man, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I’m not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over. And I’ve seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people will get to the promised land. And I’m happy, tonight. I’m not worried about anything. I’m not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.
