When I was young I was called a rugged individualist. When I was in my fifties I was considered eccentric. Here I am doing and saying the same things I did then and I’m labeled senile.

So be wise, because the world needs more wisdom, and if you cannot be wise, pretend to be someone who is wise, and then just behave like they would.
At some point in life the world’s beauty becomes enough. You don’t need to photograph, paint or even remember it. It is enough. No record of it needs to be kept and you don’t need someone to share it with or tell it to. When that happens — that letting go — you let go because you can.
Wisdom does not come by instinct, but will be found when diligently sought for; seek her, she will be a friend that will never fail you.
Focus, discipline, hard work, goal setting and, of course, the thrill of finally achieving your goals. These are all lessons in life.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
To attain knowledge, add things every day. To attain wisdom, remove things every day.
There is a trade off – as you grow older you gain wisdom but you lose spontaneity.
