Luke Skywalker

Your overconfidence is your weakness.

— Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi ‧ 1983

Behind the line

What it means

Our interpretation.

Luke names the danger in the Emperor’s certainty. Palpatine assumes he understands and controls the confrontation; Luke answers by pointing to that confidence itself as a weakness. The exchange makes self-belief sound useful only while it leaves room for what you have missed.
