I'm in lesbians with you.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
It is a fumbled confession, and the fumble is the joke: Scott, a man who has fought seven duels for this woman, cannot get the one word out. Fans quote it as the all-purpose way to say you are hopelessly smitten, usually with a wink at the garbled word. Many assume it comes from the comics, but the wiki files it under the film.

In Edgar Wright's film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), Sex Bob-Omb has just beaten Ramona's fifth and sixth evil exes, the techno twins Kyle and Ken Katayanagi, at the battle of the bands, winning Scott an extra life. Scott runs outside to find Ramona, who has been pulling away from him over her past, and tries to tell her he does not care about it. He means to say that he is in love with her. What comes out is "lesbians", and she breaks up with him anyway.
