Have a biscuit, Potter.
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
McGonagall offers Harry a biscuit after trouble with Umbridge. Her stern manner makes the small kindness surprising. She can care about a student without becoming sentimental, and the ordinary offer says that Harry has someone on his side.
