You're a kite dancing in a hurricane, Mr. Bond.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
A dying man's verdict on Bond: light, buffeted, caught in a storm much bigger than himself. White speaks as someone who has been inside Spectre, so it lands as a warning and a curse in one image. Fans remember it for the picture, and because it makes Bond's hunt for the man behind it all sound hopeless.

Spoilers for SpectreShow the scene
Spectre (2015). Bond tracks Mr. White, the Quantum man who first appeared in Casino Royale, to Altaussee in the Austrian Alps. White is dying of thallium poisoning and has a few weeks left. He says he left the organisation when it moved into trafficking women and children, and he will not name where to find its head. He points Bond to his daughter and the Hoffler Klinik. Then he tells Bond that he is a kite dancing in a hurricane, says "So long", and kills himself.
