“Zaphod! Wake up!” “Mmmmmwwwwwerrrrr?” “Hey come on, wake up.” “Just let me stick to what I’m good at, yeah?” muttered Zaphod and rolled away from the voice back to sleep.
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Someone is trying to rouse Zaphod, who answers with an unintelligible groan. Pressed again, he mumbles that he would rather stick to what he's good at, then turns away from the voice and drifts back to sleep. The comedy lies in treating sleeping as a specialty.
