Natsu Dragneel

I'm all fired up!

— Fairy Tail · 2009

Behind the line

What it means

Our interpretation.

It is the sound of Natsu choosing to stand and fight, and the heat is literal: his fire magic gets stronger the more worked up he is. The line is cheerful rather than cocky, a kid grinning at a problem that frightens everyone else. Fans use it to pump themselves up before an exam, a match or a raid, and it is the shortest summary of the series' simple faith that enough spirit and enough friends can burn through anything.

Spoilers for Fairy TailShow the scene

"I'm all fired up!" is the battle-cry of Natsu Dragneel, Fairy Tail's Fire Dragon Slayer, the mage who joins the guild in episode 1 (12 October 2009) while searching for the fire dragon Igneel. It is not tied to one scene: Natsu says it whenever a fight, a rival or a dangerous mission wakes him up. One example the episode guides record is episode 233, "Song of the Fairies", where the guild's team learns from the ancient Warrod Sequen about the dark guild Tartaros and the demon E.N.D., and Natsu, rather than being scared, gets fired up and wants to fight them to learn more.
