After the gom jabbar test, Paul asks Mohiam about the men who tried taking the Truthsayer drug. She corrects his assumption that their attempts merely failed. The exchange points toward the Bene Gesserit’s search for the Kwisatz Haderach; intervening narration is omitted from the card without changing the spoken answers.
