On especially hot days, when you’d like to murder whoever crosses you, or at least give him a good slap, drink lemonade instead.

What it means
Our interpretation.
Hot tempers meet a cool remedy here. Instead of lashing out at whoever irritates you, the speaker suggests pouring a glass of lemonade. It's a funny way of turning the urge to murder or slap someone into a small, refreshing act of self-control.
