This party's getting crazy! Let's rock!

Behind the line

What it means

Our interpretation.

It is Dante in miniature: he meets an ambush with a joke, a jukebox and a stylish massacre. The line sets the series' rule that combat is a show, and the opening of DMC3 is still the scene fans point to when they explain the character, with Let's rock! as the cue for the party to start.

Spoilers for Devil May Cry 3: Dante's AwakeningShow the scene

The scene that opens Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (Capcom, 2005), a prequel set before the first game. Dante is in his not-yet-named shop eating pizza when a messenger from his twin brother Vergil delivers an invitation, and a swarm of demons arrives with it. Dante strolls to his jukebox, tells the room that the party is getting crazy and that it is time to rock, and wrecks the place with Ebony and Ivory, Rebellion and a pool table while the music finally kicks in.
