Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The cry is a punchline and a rallying call at the same time: a squad shouts it with total sincerity while diving into a bug nest, and it is only funny because the game knows exactly what kind of state it is. Players chant it while dropping, calling in reinforcements or dying for the sake of liberty. It became a rallying cry for the community and a signal that the player is in on the satire.

Spoilers for Helldivers 2Show the scene
Helldivers 2 (Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment, February 2024) is a cooperative third-person shooter set in the 22nd century, a hundred years after the Federation of Super Earth, a self-described managed democracy, won the First Galactic War depicted in the 2015 original. Players are Helldivers, expendable shock troops dropped onto alien worlds to fight the Terminids and Automatons and spread the Federation's democracy. "For Super Earth!" is the Helldivers' rallying cry and is the nearest the game has to a motto. It sits beside the Federation's propaganda, citizens' songs and festival slogans.
