Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
A spectacular world event meets a person's ordinary fear for their family. Florentia supplies the astonishment, while Zhiraz gives it a home and people who could be lost. Remembering both halves keeps the familiar joke from swallowing the anxiety that answers it.

Spoilers for The Elder Scrolls OnlineShow the scene
Florentia Candidius and Zhiraz exchange these lines in The Elder Scrolls Online after the Elsweyr chapter's arrival in 2019. Florentia reacts to reports of dragons in the Khajiiti homeland; Zhiraz worries about his family in Riverhold. The exchange can be overheard in alliance cities, and its repeated proximity to passing players helped make it a running joke.
