What it means

Our interpretation.

A brisk, orderly instruction that sounds almost like a seating plan: big cats on one side, rhinos on the other, monkeys sandwiched in between. The humour comes from the neat, matter-of-fact arrangement of wild animals, as if they were chairs at a dinner party.
