It is Venkman's swagger at the moment everything has gone wrong: the most casual threat imaginable aimed at a god. Fans quote it after a near-disaster or against any overwhelming enemy, usually with the same sarcastic grin, and it is the starting gun for the battle that ends with the team crossing the streams.

At the climax of Ghostbusters, the four men reach the temple on the rooftop, where Gozer, a shapeshifting god of destruction, appears. Gozer asks Ray Stantz if he is a god; Ray says no, and Gozer blasts the team with lightning. Winston tells Ray that when someone asks that, you say yes. Venkman gets up and declares that this chick is toast; the four line up, proton packs ready, and advance on Gozer with their heat-up routine.
