I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually... is all around.
— Love Actually · 2003
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The sneaky feeling is a very British way of making a big claim: modest, almost embarrassed, and therefore easy to believe. Its last words became the film's title and its slogan, and it is one of the lines most printed on Christmas cards, tote bags and cushions. Fans quote it both sincerely and ironically, which is exactly the balance the film aims for.

Spoilers for Love ActuallyShow the scene
This is the end of the Prime Minister's opening voice-over in Love Actually (2003). After talking about the Heathrow arrivals gate, he turns to the 11 September 2001 attacks: as far as he knows, none of the phone calls from the people on the planes were messages of hate or revenge, only love. Then comes the line about the sneaky feeling, and as he finishes the screen cuts to black with the words 'love actually' and the Christmas story begins, opening in a recording studio where ageing rocker Billy Mack is butchering a Christmas version of 'Love Is All Around'.
