Aren't you due back at the lab to get your bolts tightened?

What it means
Our interpretation.
This is a mocking jab that treats the listener like a machine needing maintenance. Suggesting they're due for a bolt-tightening implies they seem stiff, wound-up or not quite right, and the lab reference turns the insult into a sci-fi gag.
