For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Once you've experienced flying, the sky becomes a place you feel you've belonged to, so you go through life looking up and longing to return. Tasting flight works as a metaphor for a taste of something that permanently redirects your attention.
