Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look upon them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death.
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
A leadership idea built on affection. Treat your soldiers like your children and they'll follow you into the deepest valleys; treat them as beloved sons and they'll stand by you even unto death. Loyalty, in this view, grows out of care.
