Achieving the Impossible · 2010

Lewis Gordon Pugh

Going against the tide has never been difficult for me. It wasn’t even a conscious decision but the natural consequence of following my own instinct.

Behind the line

What it means

Our interpretation.

The speaker describes resisting the prevailing direction as a consequence of instinct rather than a deliberate decision to oppose it. That distinction moves attention from rebellion to personal orientation. Going against others becomes an outcome of following an inner preference, not necessarily the aim in itself.
