flesh covers the bone and the flesh searches for more than flesh.

Our interpretation.

Flesh wraps the skeleton, yet the poem says flesh keeps reaching for something beyond itself. The body is the visible frame of a person, but desire and longing push past physical existence toward something the body alone cannot supply. The tone is spare, wistful and quietly restless.
