If we just avoid any more female advice, we ought to be able to get out of here.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Han's grumble is a rueful jab at the Princess, who took charge of the escape the moment she was freed and has traded barbs with him since. Fans quote it as a dry comment after somebody else's plan goes wrong, though its sexism reads dated now. It also shows the rogue thawing: he complains, then gets on with the job.

Spoilers for Star Wars: Episode IV - A New HopeShow the scene
Luke, Leia, Han and Chewbacca have just survived the Death Star's garbage compactor, saved when Threepio gets the machinery shut down. They climb out into a dusty, unused corridor, where Han and Luke take off the stormtrooper armour they used to sneak aboard and strap on blaster belts. Han, who has just seen the Princess blast open a garbage chute and take charge of the escape, grumbles that if they can avoid any more advice from women they might get out. Luke smiles and takes a blaster from him.
