Our interpretation.
Xavier announces a new reality as an accomplished fact. The address includes all of humanity, but the decision has already been made while its listeners were elsewhere. That mixture of invitation and authority marks how far the Krakoan project has moved from asking for a place in someone else's world.

House of X #1 (2019) opens with this epigraph credited to Professor X. It announces the transformed relationship between humanity and the mutant nation of Krakoa. The opening and closing sentences of Xavier’s telepathic address in House of X #6 supply the epigraph. It is presented here as the first issue’s epigraph, rather than a continuous two-sentence spoken balloon in issue six.
