Johnny Silverhand

Wake the fuck up, Samurai. We have a city to burn.

What it means

Our interpretation.

The wake-up call is Johnny's whole philosophy: he blew up an Arasaka tower once and he wants a second round. It frames V as a reluctant new bandmate and passenger, and the profanity and the 'city to burn' swagger are exactly the register Keanu Reeves brought to the role. Players quote it whenever someone needs rousing for something reckless.

Spoilers for Cyberpunk 2077Show the scene

Johnny Silverhand, the dead rockerboy whose Relic engram ends up in the mercenary V's head in Cyberpunk 2077 (2020), is voiced in the game by Keanu Reeves. After the opening heist goes wrong, V is revived by the Relic and, in the main job 'Playing for Time', wakes in their apartment to find Johnny standing there, hostile at being stuck in V's body. 'Samurai' is the name of his old band. Wikiquote lists this as one of Johnny's lines to V.
