NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A [[Big Shot]]!
— Deltarune · 2018
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
"Big Shot" is Spamton's whole tragedy in two words: a salesman who once chased fame and now hawks nonsense from a bin, still convinced the next deal will make him somebody. The all-caps, half-corrupted pitch turned him into Deltarune's breakout character and a meme engine, and the line now gets quoted whenever anyone wants a manic sales voice.

Spamton G. Spamton is the washed-up Darkner salesman Kris and friends meet in Cyber City in Deltarune Chapter 2, "A Cyber's World" (released 17 September 2021). He lives in a dumpster in an alley and, on first meeting, pitches Kris a "deal" and the chance to become a Big Shot, which he pairs with a demand for their SOUL before the encounter turns into a fight. The line is his stock pitch, shouted in capitals and run through with glitchy bracketed ad-speak (the wiki's lead quote has him follow it with "Hyperlink Blocked"). It recurs through the chapter in his shop and in the later Spamton NEO battle, and "Big Shot" is also the name of the boss theme composed by Toby Fox.
