Kratos

Death can have me when it earns me.

— God of War Ragnarök · 2022

Behind the line

What it means

Our interpretation.

Kratos refuses to treat death as something he must obediently await. In the released game, he says this during a comparatively calm conversation with Freya. The line carries the weight of his history while insisting that his remaining life is still his to contest.
