Our reading
An editorial interpretation.
CATS announces the seizure of the opposing bases in famously awkward English. The wording’s strange rhythm helped the line travel far beyond the game’s original audience. The game began as a 1989 arcade release; this written English formulation belongs to the 1992 European Mega Drive localisation and is preserved without grammatical correction.
