Piss on you! I’m working for Mel Brooks!
— Blazing Saddles · 1974
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The speaker lashes out with a crude dismissal, then plays a trump card: they work for Mel Brooks. The boast is meant to silence objection by name-dropping a powerful employer, and the vulgar opening makes it sound defiantly cocky and comically irreverent.
