Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Drax is the most self-possessed of the Moore-era villains, and this line shows why. Lonsdale delivers it as if Bond were a rain shower arriving on schedule: pure disdain wrapped in pure vocabulary. Fans quote it when someone keeps turning up uninvited, a villain's insult elegant enough that the hero almost deserves it.

Moonraker (1979). Hugo Drax (Michael Lonsdale), the aerospace tycoon who plans to wipe out humanity with a nerve toxin and repopulate Earth from a hidden orbital station, has kept his base invisible to radar. James Bond (Roger Moore) and Holly Goodhead shut down the jamming device and expose the station to the world. Drax then greets Bond with this line, a lofty welcome to a hero who has turned up yet again to ruin his plans.
