See you at the party, Richter!
— Total Recall • 1990
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
It is a Schwarzenegger one-liner at its most gleeful: a pun first, a death second, delivered by a man who has spent the whole film being told who he is and is finally in control of the scene. It is a fixture of action-movie quote lists and Arnold impressions. Fans use it for any farewell to a rival, the sillier the better.

Spoilers for Total RecallShow the scene
Near the climax of Total Recall (1990), in the mines beneath the alien reactor on Mars, Quaid and Melina are hunted by Richter, Cohaagen's enforcer, and his men. The pair outwit and kill them one by one, and Quaid and Richter end up fighting on a mining lift. Quaid says his farewell as Richter loses both arms to the lift. Quaid then goes on to the reactor control room and his showdown with Cohaagen. Michael Ironside had to wear a brace borrowed from a quarterback for his first fight scene with Schwarzenegger on an elevator, after an earlier injury.
