Every evening is as random as the next, death doesn't follow a schedule.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Nights don't come with a pattern, and neither does death. This says you can't count on tomorrow evening resembling today's, because mortality ignores any timetable. The joke-like phrasing, 'every evening is as random as the next', makes unpredictability the only reliable thing about it.
