A whole creation story squeezed into one deadpan sentence. The capital-B Beginning sounds solemn, then 'nothing' arrives, and then the punchline: it exploded. The joke is that nothing has no business doing anything, let alone something so dramatic, which makes the origin of everything sound like a glorious accident.
