Skyrim belongs to the Nords!
— The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim · 2011
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
A claim of belonging becomes a claim that other people do not belong. In battle, the sentence turns a contested homeland into a simple possession. Its force comes from that certainty, while the game around it gives the player reasons to question who gets to speak for the province.

Spoilers for The Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimShow the scene
Stormcloak soldiers can shout this during combat in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011). The shared Nord combat dialogue uses it against non-Nord opponents and excludes members of the Imperial Legion from this particular line. It expresses the exclusionary side of the civil-war struggle rather than offering a neutral description of everyone who lives in Skyrim.
