La bella luna! The moon brings the woman to the man. Capice?
— Moonstruck ‧ 1987
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Here the speaker credits the moon with a matchmaking job, as if it quietly delivers a woman to a man. It's a romantic, half-comic bit of folk wisdom, delivered with an exclamation and a demand for agreement. "Capice?" turns a sweet notion into something not up for debate.
