Barnes has been shot seven times and he ain’t dead, does that mean anything to you, huh? Barnes ain’t meant to die! The only thing that can kill Barnes is Barnes.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The speaker insists that surviving seven gunshots must mean something, pressing the listener to admit it. In their view Barnes is not fated to die from outside harm; only Barnes himself could end Barnes. It is a fierce, almost superstitious claim of invulnerability voiced as a challenge.
