Somebody once wrote: “Hell is the impossibility of reason.” That’s what this place feels like. Hell.

Behind the line

What it means

Our interpretation.

The speaker borrows a definition of hell to describe surroundings that seem beyond reason. Repeating 'Hell' after the explanation makes the word feel immediate and personal. An abstract phrase becomes a way of naming an experience that ordinary logic cannot make sense of.
