Our reading
An editorial interpretation.
Before the attack on the Death Star, General Dodonna sends the pilots off with a wish for protection and good fortune. The words offer encouragement when a plan can only take people so far. They are spoken by several characters across Star Wars, so this entry records one scene rather than claiming a sole originator. As a farewell, the phrase makes courage feel a little less solitary.
