Although it is generally known, I think it’s about time to announce that I was born at a very early age.
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The speaker mock-solemnly announces something everyone already knows, that they were born, then twists it by adding the absurd detail of a very early age. The humour comes from the pompous tone of a big revelation attached to a trivial, unavoidable fact about beginnings.
