Jerry's standards are so petty that a flawless woman is dropped over her hands, and the show leans into it by treating 'man hands' as if it were a diagnosis. The phrase slipped into everyday speech for any tiny dealbreaker that sounds absurd out loud, and it is one of the show's most cited examples of Jerry's shallowness.

Seinfeld, "The Bizarro Jerry" (season 8, aired 3 October 1996). Elaine sets Jerry up with her friend Gillian, a writer for the L.L. Bean catalogue, and Jerry finds her perfect except for one flaw: large, masculine hands. His objections grow more elaborate, and he compares her to a creature from Greek mythology, part woman and part horrible beast. George, meanwhile, uses a photograph of Gillian to talk his way into the forbidden city, a club for models.
