If you hear muffled screams, consider that a request for a beam out.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The speaker proposes treating muffled screams as a request to be taken away. The dry wording makes an alarming sound into a routine signal. The humour comes from giving distress a neat procedural meaning, as though a calm arrangement could cover the possibility of trouble.
