Behind the line

What it means

Our interpretation.

Three words that close every argument. Kuiil says them with a farmer's stubbornness and a freed servant's pride, and in a show about a man of few words the old Ugnaught gets the last one. Fans use it as a mic drop, a signature for a bossy decision, and a gentle tribute to a character who was barely in the show for long. It is the line that made Kuiil one of its most-loved supporting characters.

Spoilers for The MandalorianShow the scene

In Chapter 1 of The Mandalorian (2019), bounty hunter Din Djarin lands on the desert world Arvala-7 and is mauled by blurrgs until darts bring them down. His rescuer is Kuiil, a mounted Ugnaught moisture farmer who recognises him as a bounty hunter, announces that he will help him, and ends the discussion with "I have spoken." Fan wikis explain it as an Ugnaught way of saying a decision is made. Kuiil leads the Mandalorian to his farm, and he says it often afterwards; scout troopers kill him later in the first season.
