Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Sukuna is a king, and he treats curses and humans alike as subjects. The line puts Mahito, a special-grade curse who thinks of himself as an equal, back in his place with a few words. Fans love how casual the contempt is, and it travels as a meme reply for any moment when an underling gets above themselves.

Spoilers for Jujutsu KaisenShow the scene
Sukuna says it to Mahito in episode 12, "To You Someday" (19 December 2020), in the Vs. Mahito arc. Mahito stabs Yuji with body spikes and tries to touch Yuji's soul to force Sukuna to switch in. Sukuna takes the touch as an insult and tells Mahito to know his place, forgiving it only this once because they shared a laugh, and warning him never to do it again. The wiki's chapter 28 page tells the same scene from the manga. The wiki summaries do not give the "fool" wording.
