What it means

Our interpretation.

Teach’s ambition is dangerous precisely because it resembles Luffy’s. The scene lets a villain defend the wonder that the heroes refuse to surrender.

Spoilers for One PieceShow the scene

Outside Mock Town’s bar on Jaya, Teach speaks after Luffy and Zoro have endured Bellamy’s ridicule without fighting back. His belief in impossible dreams briefly puts a future enemy on the same side as Luffy. Chapter 225 becomes episode 147; this familiar fan wording also circulates as “People’s dreams don’t ever end,” while English releases vary.
