Searching for a boy in high school is like searching for meaning in a Pauly Shore movie.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The speaker compares looking for a boy in high school with searching for meaning in a Pauly Shore film. The comparison dismisses both searches as unlikely to reward the effort. It works as a joke about romantic disappointment by turning an insult about cinema into a judgment about available boys.
