Elsa

The cold never bothered me anyway!

— Frozen · 2013

Behind the line

What it means

Our interpretation.

It is a brave face. Elsa has spent a lifetime being told to conceal, and the line claims the cold was never the problem, which is half true: the cold is her gift and the fear was the cage. It is also the comeback for anyone shrugging off a snub or a freezing morning, and a refrain millions of children sang until their parents begged for mercy.
