Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Damian is the film's sharpest commentator, and this is him at his best: an outsider who was never meant to be in the room calls out the one other interloper, delivered as breaking news. The line outgrew the movie as a meme: people type it under any post from someone unconnected to the topic, a ready-made reaction for any stranger who pipes up uninvited.

Spoilers for Mean GirlsShow the scene
After the Burn Book pages are photocopied across North Shore High, Principal Duvall and Ms. Norbury gather the junior girls in the gym to talk through the damage and make them apologise to one another. During the apology round a girl delivers a long, sarcastic speech about wishing everyone could get along. Damian, who is not a junior girl either and is hiding in the crowd under a hood, shouts out that she does not even go there. Someone asks the girl whether she attends the school, and she answers no, saying she just has a lot of feelings.
