Our interpretation.
Being told you are special is not the same as acting like it. Morpheus has just watched Neo do something no prophecy could have promised, and he brushes aside the Oracle's words to say that belief only counts once you walk. It has outlived the film as a motivational line, quoted wherever there is a gap between understanding something and doing it.

Neo and Trinity have just pulled off the impossible: a helicopter raid on the building where the Agents held Morpheus, ending with the helicopter crashing and the three of them standing on a rooftop. Morpheus asks Trinity if she believes now. Neo starts to say that the Oracle told him something, but Morpheus cuts him off: she told him what he needed to hear. Sooner or later Neo will realise there is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. Then Morpheus asks Tank for an exit.
