If you take sexual advantage of her, you’re going to burn in a very special level of Hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
A preacher who has seen things puts a curse on a simple point of decency, and the joke lands on its list: the worst crime imaginable, followed by chatting through a film. Book then walks back to stress the word special, which is the best beat. The line escaped the show and became a standard fan comeback for anyone who talks at the cinema, and 'a special place in Hell' is now used well beyond Firefly.

Spoilers for FireflyShow the scene
In "Our Mrs. Reynolds", the sixth episode of Firefly (Fox, 4 October 2002, written by Joss Whedon), Captain Mal Reynolds accepts a wreath, a drink and a dance at a village celebration, and learns too late that he has married a girl called Saffron under local custom. She stows away on Serenity and announces she is his wife. After the crew has watched Mal sputter, Shepherd Book looks up the custom and confirms the marriage. When Saffron needs a place to sleep, Book gives his warning about what will happen to Mal if he takes advantage of her. Mal protests that Book has a smutty mind; Book apologises, then turns back at the door to correct his own phrasing.
