Peg, I'm trying to control an outbreak, and you're driving the monkey to the airport!

What it means
Our interpretation.
The speaker says they're trying to contain an outbreak while Peg is taking a monkey to the airport. The complaint makes those actions sound opposed: one tries to keep trouble contained, while the other risks carrying it elsewhere. The wildly specific accusation gives the frustration comic force.
