My goodness, I do believe I’m drunk. I suddenly feel the need to strut my funky stuff!

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The polite surprise of “My goodness” gives way to the much looser wish to “strut my funky stuff”. That change in register creates the joke. The speaker links a sudden impulse to show off with the realisation that they may be drunk.
